What do I need to do to decline the car and have it stay as property to the trust to be sold and the proceeds split among the other beneficiaries?

Disclaim trust property
by: Mo Johnson

Often the language of the trust will grant the trustee sufficient flexibility to accept your disclaimer. Assuming no beneficiaries object, this should be a simple thing to do. You will want to discuss with a local estate planning attorney and let them draft the disclaimer for you.
