Concerned About Trustee Selling House

I am to receive a house in a will. Now can the trustee sell this property before the person passes? Is there any way the trustee can stop me from getting this property?

Confused
by: Mo

Hi, you talk about a will and then a trustee. A will would have an executor; whereas a trustee would be involved with a trust.

So, I'm confused. Is the house in a living trust right now that has as the trustee the person you are concerned about? Or is it titled in the name of the owner who you think is leaving it to you in the will?

If the later, I can't see how the executor of the will would be able to do anything with the property until after death.

Can you clarify?
