Am I still executor of my fathers trust?

My father left me as the executor of his trust. However, my stepmother has the ability to change the executor. How can I determine if I am still the Executor of my father's Trust without asking her?

How To Know if You are Trustee

I think you mean your dad made you the trustee of his trust. Do you have a copy of it? If you do and it names you the trustee, then as far as you and the world know -- you are the trustee. If your step-mother wants to change that, she needs to inform you (and the institutions where assets are held) that you are no longer the trustee.

Of course, if you have reason to believe she has named another trustee then you have a duty to verify that one way or the other before performing any trustee actions. I can't think how you would verify it without asking your step-mom. I suppose you could ask any institutions (like banks) where assets or held to see if she has informed them.

But, best just to ask her I think....
